Volunteers are an integral part of Alternatives For Girls, and we welcome individuals and groups to partner with us throughout the year.
Volunteer opportunities include and are not limited to youth program tutoring and/or mentoring, food distribution, donation sorting and clean up. For a current list of volunteer opportunities available, please visit: Volunteer Opportunities. We also are open to discuss other possibilities.
To begin the process
(Individual or Group):
Please fill out an online form: AFG Volunteer Application and indicate individual or group interest. Once completed, our Volunteer Services Manager will follow up.
Additional requirements
Additional requirements may be asked for individuals (depending on the opportunity) which include the following:
Background Check: To volunteer at AFG, some opportunities may require a background check. This will include:
- Criminal History Report Authorization
- Motor Vehicle Report Authorization
- Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Requests (please complete both, though it may seem redundant)
- Tuberculosis Test
Attend an AFG Volunteer Orientation and or program volunteer training (depending on opportunity)
