Support

AFG relies on support from our community to help bring quality, life-changing programs to the girls and young women who need it the most. We are committed to empowering those we serve throughout the agency by providing programs and resources that value each person we serve.

There are many ways to become involved and invest in our mission.

Tribute gifts are a meaningful way to recognize someone special and/or a moment in one’s life. You can donate in honor of or in memory of someone, and we will send a letter to the person you want to recognize.

If you are over the age of 70 ½, you may give a qualified charitable distribution from an individual retirement account and can potentially receive tax benefits. Contact Cecile Aitchison at caitchison@alternativesforgirls.org for more information.

One of the most tax-efficient ways to give is by making a gift of appreciated stock. AFG accepts all forms of securities that include stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. Contact Cecile Aitchison at caitchison@alternativesforgirls.org for more information.

Hosting an event is a great opportunity for individuals, organizations, and businesses to host a fundraiser that supports AFG’s mission. It is a fun way to engage and introduce your co-workers, friends, and family to helping homeless and at-risk girls and young women.  For more information, contact Amenia Army at aarmy@alternativesforgirls.org.

During the Holiday season, Project Giving Tree brings cheer and joy to the participants we serve. Supporters are matched with a program participant and provided a list of wishes and immediate needs. For more information, contact Christina Ramsey at cramsey@alternativesforgirls.org.
